Tracie Peterson has done it again! She has captured my attention in the stories of Texas during the Civil War. Yes, this time her story line does NOT take place in Alaska- but in Texas. Tracie Peterson captures you hear with sadness for the thought of Hannah having to take care of her brother and sister alone. This book is filled with love and sadness. The author knows how to make us feel every feeling that is happening the to characters. If you are a Tracie Peterson fan you will surely enjoy this book. I can’t wait to pick up book two and read it.
